If you simply can't find the plant, save the game and reload then search the jungle near the ritual site again. The red berries makes the plant obvious to see, however - and this is the other unhelpful thing we have to tell you - plants like Psychotria spawn randomly, which is why you may be having trouble finding it but others find it easily. Just go left, up a bit from the village with the first ritual site, there should hopefully be some growing around.
